  • NCCP Intro to Competition Clinic

Field Hockey BC is pleased to be offering NCCP coaching courses in conjunction with the 2024 Coaching Conference. Courses that are crucial to both the Community and Competition-Introduction stream will be held on Sunday February 11th: 

 

NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) – required for coaches to complete their Community Coaching Pathway 

FHC Competition-Introduction Course – sport-specific course required for coaches pursuing Competition-Introduction Certification 

Coaches are encouraged to take advantage of these courses to continue to enhance their coaching experience. Furthermore, with mandatory minimum coaching standards on the horizon, this is a great opportunity for coaches to position themselves to meet those requirements. 

NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) 

This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the Fundamental Movement Skills and the core-competencies of the NCCP, with the help of significant hands-on activities.  

 

 Sunday February 11, 9am – 1:30pm at SFU 

 

 Cost: FREE for FHBC registered participants; $73.50 for all other coaches

FHC Competition-Introduction Course 

The FHC Competition-Introduction course focuses on learning the game, practice planning and the basic analysis of performance. Coaches that wish to take this course, must first take the following pre-requisite multi-sport modules: NCCP Emergency Action Plan, NCCP Planning a Practice, NCCP Teaching & Learning.   

 

  • Sunday, February 11, 9am – 1pm     

  • Module 5: On-field Skills & Small-Sided Games (In-Person)     

  • SFU 

  • Cost: $150
